Luana Sandoval is a German/Nicaraguan five-lingual (German, Spanish, English, French, Bulgarian) singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. She discovered her love for songwriting when she was fourteen years old. Between 2012 and 2016 Luana studied opera singing at the Saarland University of Music in Saarbrucken, Germany. In 2018 she moved to New York and worked with award winning music producer Mark Roos on her first EP “Love”. She wrote the song “La Soledad” with Madonna’s former percussionist Miroca Paris. In 2020 Luana auditioned for American Idol Season 19 and her audition aired in episode 5. In 2022 Luana hosted and produced her TV show “Songs of my Life” in Nashville, TN and interviewed ten musicians, songwriters and music producers about their musical journeys. In 2022, she starred in Dolly Parton’s movie “Mountain Magic Christmas”. In 2024, Luana was nominated for a Josie Music Award for her music video “Scent From Heaven”. Furthermore she was nominated for a Wavy Music Award for her music video “In Time” as well as in the category best performance alongside Tori Amos. In 2025 she is nominated for two Josie Music Awards in the categories world artist and story-enhanced performance video with her song Treasure Chest.
She works with music producers Pat Lassiter and Collin Stanley. She is a mentor for the organization Sound Thinking NYC and mentors students in songwriting and music business. Luana performs in New York, Nashville and Los Angeles.
